DigiGirlz 2017 Aotearoa

Microsoft in partnership with Manukau Institute of Technology and OMGTech! present DigiGirlz 2017

DigiGirlz is one of Microsoft’s signature programs to invest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education for young women and build a pipeline of future workers ready for the challenges of the global economy.

The program offers hands-on workshops with technology, learn about the exciting range of I.T careers in the gaming industry, experience a hands on coding session and have the opportunity to ask questions to a career panel with inspiring female tech leaders.

The goal is to break prejudices, get girls excited about tech, and encourage them to consider studies and a future career in tech.

The event is open to all year 9 and 10 girls, with the purpose to encourage girls of Māori and Pasifika decent or affiliation to discover the exciting opportunities available in the I.T sector.
